Det er en glede for oss å introdusere YOGA som et nytt tilbud
her på senteret.
Det er en ekstra stor glede å kunne
fortelle at vi har fått tak i en virkelig god Yogi, som det er
verdt å prøve en time hos for å oppleve selv. Undervisningen
er mest på engelsk, men noe norsk.
Brev fra vår erfarne finske yoga
instruktør: Janne Kristian Glad
I'm 34 years old man from Finland, living in Norway with wife
and 3 years old daughter.
I have been doing hatha yoga (asanas) since 1997.
Yogateacher course i have started 2002 in finland: Finnish
yoga-alliance.
I have been teaching beginners classes with over 100
participants and smaller groups.
Specialcourses: only for men, pregnancy yoga, yoga for older,
yoga for school groups, yoga for theaterpeople.
I'm educated massagetherapeutic (classical/swedish style).
Additional courses for building up my yogateacher skills:
relaxing therapeut, pilates trainer, poem performancing,
harmonic singing, different kind of meditation courses.
Under the finnish yoga-alliance and department of Turku
(finnish city) weekend courses from: asanas, breathing, womens
middleage problems, yoga for men, yoga filosophy, relaxing,
how to use voice in yoga, different kind of meditation
courses.
I' have been under of many good finnish teachers, and many
different styles of yoga. But mostly I have been doing hard
work my self and put my self for the fire and learning trough
it. It is not the most safest and smartest way probably, but
it is your own original way then. And in that way I'm teaching
only the things what i do know, not only the things what i
have been reading or been told.
My way of Hatha yoga is easy to do, giving space for different
bodies and minds, harmonic in that way that we do learn how to
breath and do the movement sametime, and relaxing. If you need
strong exercise you can add volume to the exercise and
participate, but mostly the exercise is not about physical or
mentally strong but yet easy and relaxing. The goal is the
state of yoga, trough relaxing first body and then the mind.
The class is starting with relaxing and giving away, then
asanas (positions), breathing exercises, and it is ending for
long (10-15min) guided relaxing.
Totally the class is lasting one and half hour.
Take warm loose clothes with you and somekind of undermat
(yoga, pilates, gym) or couple of towels to lay on. If you are
getting easily chilled take a blanket or shaal for the ending
relaxation. Anykind of helping material is welcome for the
classes: pillow for the sitting positions, small towell under
the head for relaxing part.
Teaching language is english/norwegian.
